The club is delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated attacker Tunde Owolabi on a season-long deal.

The 24-year-old joins us following a goal ladened season with his former club FC United of Manchester, where he scored 35 goals in all competitions, before the season was brought to a premature end, This form earned the Nigerian-born attacker a move to South Lanarkshire.

Speaking to Accies TV Tunde said: “I’m overwhelmed, it was always my dream to be a
professional football player and I have worked really hard to get here. It hasn’t sunk in yet
but I’m just trying to enjoy the experience.

“I’m a striker who is quick, I can score goals and run in behind. I try my best in games to help
the team.”

The striker believes his non-league background has prepared him for the step up to
professional football: “Non-league is tough, you play against players who are physically
strong and I had to get used to that quickly and I think that has prepared me for this level.”

Tunde could be set to make his debut against reigning champions Celtic which is a
challenge the attacker looks forward to: “Its a whole new experience but its something I live for. Being a pro and playing against
Celtic and Rangers wasn’t something I expected to come this quickly but it’s here now and I
just have to work hard and enjoy it to push myself to get into the team.”
