We are delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Sam Woods from Crystal Palace.
The 21 year-old has made three appearances for the eagles so far and will spend the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign at Hamilton (subject to international clearance).
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “I’m happy to be here, everyone’s been very welcoming.”
“I’m expecting the Scottish Premiership to be much more physical than down south but I won’t know until my first game.”
When asked about playing alongside James McCarthy & James McArthur, Sam said: “Both Maccas are great lads and as soon as I mentioned to them about interest from Hamilton they both told me to come and it’s a great club to be at, so that basically convinced me.”
When asked about Head Coach, Brian Rice, Woods said: “I had interest from League 1 & 2 in England but the gaffer was top class in how he sold the club to me. His vision and enthusiasm of this club is one of the main reasons I chose Hamilton.”
Sam could be set to make his debut on Saturday against Livingston.
