We have added two more young players to our u20s squad today.

Jack Breen, 18, is a local lad but left Hibernian in the summer. He has been training with Aberdeen and ourselves over the past month. He has signed a two year deal and plays in midfield.

Robbie Crawford, 19, left Dunfermline Athletic at the end of last season (they aren’t competing in the u20s this season). Robbie has also been with us in recent weeks in the u20s for training and games. He is the son of former Raith, Dunfermline and Scotland player Stevie, who is now Assistant Manager at MK Dons. Robbie is also a midfielder and has signed a deal until the end of the season.

Both players have shown up well recently. Manager Martin Canning said, “These players have looked good in pre-season and we have offered them contracts. The 20s squad is also important to us, we finished runners up in the league in the season just finished, and we need a good competitive squad that will also feed the first team. Players like Ronan Hughes, Ross Cunningham, Ryan Tierney and Lewis Ferguson are all still in the u20s but are all knocking on the first team door too, so the young players know they will get a chance.”
