The club is delighted to welcome the signing of Sam Stubbs on loan from Middlesbrough FC

Stubbs, a 20-year-old central defender, has become the latest signing for Brian Rice’s Accies side. Having played on loan at Notts County last season, Sam will now play his football in the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership.

He is the son of former Celtic player & Hibs manager, Alan Stubbs.

Speaking to the clubs media team, Sam said: “I’m happy to be here, my old man has told me a lot about the Scottish game and how different it is. I’m really looking forward to showing everyone what I’m all about.”

Head Coach, Brian Rice said: “I’m glad to have Sam on board, he’s a big lad and has great ability. I’m looking forward to getting him on the pitch to see what he can do for us. He’s a defender and thats an area we’re looking to strengthen and I’m certain Sam will do that.”

Sam joins the club on a season long ‘loan’ and will play his football here in Hamilton until at least the end of the season.
