16-year-old Bailey Gallagher is Scottish School’s u16s indoor champion of the 60 metre sprint having won it back in February and the youngster aims to continue that success when he finally gets his chance to.
Gallagher led the way earlier this year when the local youngster battled his way to winning one of Scotland’s prestigious athletic championships by overcoming the 53 other talented athlete’s competing alongside him.
The club have sponsored Bailey and provide him with official Hamilton training & match day clothing to wear whilst he’s training is something in which the youngster believes gives him that extra spark to succeed.
Speaking to the clubs website, Bailey said: “I can once again succeed in the famous red and white colours.”
“The club have been fantastic with supporting me on my journey and hopefully I can once again succeed in the famous red and white colours.”
When asked what motivates him, the youngster heaped praise on his supportive father: “My dad (Martin) has been a huge part of my achievements and I couldn’t do it without him. He’s picked me up when I’ve been down and encouraged me to better myself and I’m thankful to him for that.”
Martin Gallagher has been a sponsor for our Community Trust & Children’s Charity Blameless for over a decade and the club are proud to sponsor his son Bailey as he continues to progress in his Athletics career.
Look out for Bailey Gallagher in the near future.
