Irn Bru Cup on Saturday

On Saturday, 8th September, our u21s are in the Irn Bru Cup, second round, and we are away to St Mirren u21s.

The game will be at Simple Digital Arena (New St Mirren Park) at 3pm.

Only the main stand is open, and admission is Adults £10, Concessions £5.

The competition is for lower league clubs (and we have won it twice before, 1991 and 1992, and been runners-up twice), but in the revamped competition, the u21s  of the Premiership teams enter, along with some teams from the Highland and Lowland Leagues, and two teams each from the top leagues of Northern Ireland, Wales, Republic of Ireland, and two from the English national league.

u21s teams can list two over-age players.

In the event of a draw at 90 minutes, the game goes straight to penalties.

In the first round our u21s defeated Clyde (first team) 4-1.

For this game we will be missing Ryan Fulton and Leon McCann, on international duty with Scotland u21s and u19s respectively.
