Five of our younger players have all moved out on temporary transfers until the start of January.

Goalkeeper Jamie Smith, 18, has joined West of Scotland League side Rossvale (who are groundsharing at Benburb this season).

Midfielder Liam Harris, 17, has joined fellow West of Scotland League side Clydebank (where Kyle Munro had a successful spell last season).

Midfielder Marley Redfern, 17, has gone to East of Scotland League side Blackburn Utd.

And to continue where they both were last season, striker Sean Slaven, 19, and midfielder Daryl Meikle, 19, have both returned to East of Scotland League side Linlithgow Rose, where they played last season.

Academy Director George Cairns commented, “It is a vital part of these players’ development to get decent game time at a good level, especially in the absence of organised reserve football this season due to the current circumstances. Sean and Daryl were at Linlithgow last season, where ex Accie Brown Ferguson is the Manager, and they were keen to get both players back.

“The other three lads are younger and are going out for the first time, but we are sure they will benefit and develop from their spells with these teams. We have seen how Kyle Munro benefitted from his stint with Clydebank last season..

“I would like to thank all the clubs concerned, we have had to discuss various protocols with them given the current situation we find ourselves in, and the club is quite happy that these players can be safely looked after and continue their development.”
