HAFC Academy – Player Progression

HAFC ACADEMY

PLAYER PROGRESSION

In our game against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on 3rd February, six Academy graduates were present in the team.

They were, Scott McMann, Darren Lyon, Lewis Ferguson, Ronan Hughes, Ross Cunningham and Shaun Want.

Ryan Tierney was an unused substitute and Ali Crawford was injured.

Six other Premier League Teams now feature players we developed:

Greg Docherty                                                     Rangers

Michael Devlin                                                    Aberdeen

Eamon Brophy                                                    Kilmarnock

Stephen Hendrie                                                Motherwell

Brian Easton                                                       St. Johnstone

Zander Clark                                                       St. Johnstone

Gary Fraser                                                         Partick Thistle

In the Championship, we have been represented this season by:

Grant Gillespie                                         Dundee Utd.

Andy Ryan                                                 Dunfermline

Danny Armstrong & David Hopkirk     Dunfermline

Steven Boyd                                               Livingston

Jordan Kirkpatrick                                   St Mirren

Jai Quitongo  & Lee Kilday                      Morton

Louis Longridge                                         Falkirk

We believe the sale of Docherty, Devlin and Brophy to three fellow Premiership Clubs in a season is unique.  As was the sale of McCarthy, McArthur and Easton to English Premier League Clubs within a year.

We believe this success rate compares favourably with others seeking to produce players for our National Teams.
