East Kilbride v Accies – 15th July

We kick off the Betfred League Cup campaign on Saturday 15th July with a very short trip to Lowland League side East Kilbride (note, a different team from East Kilbride Thistle in the juniors). As part of the League Cup revamp last season the Highland and Lowland League winners also take part. East Kilbride play at the K-Park, within Calderglen Country Park on the East kilbride – Strathaven road. Admission for Accies fans is Adults £10 and £5 concessions, standing only behind the goal. All tickets for our fans are sold out. Home supporters can gain access to the stand. The ground only has a limited capacity (700) and parking in the surrounding area is very limited and restricted. There will also be checks and searches by stewards at all entrances. Please comply with the instructions of Police Scotland and the stewards at all times. In the League Cup a drawn game at 90 minutes goes straight to penalties, with the winner getting an extra point. Skipper Michael Devlin is obviously out, David Templeton, Ioannis Skondras, Massimo Donati and Ross Cunningham are also not included. Ryan Tierney, Ronan Hughes, Shaun Want, Steven Boyd and Jordan McGregor are all involved. After Saturday’s game, we are the free team on Tuesday 18th, and we host Queen of the South on Saturday 22nd at 3pm. Tuesday 25th sees us make another short trip to Albion Rovers (745pm) and we complete the section by hosting Stenhousemuir on Saturday 29th July. Amazingly, four of the five teams in the group have artificial surfaces, and we do not have to leave Lanarkshire for any of our games.
